Add a Customized Three Column Footer Widget In Blogger

You might have seen a three column widget at the bottom section of many commercial and professional blogs. Where you can add whatever stuff you like. Take my footer widget as an example. I have added widgets that further keeps the reader busy. This Footer widget contains three columns where each column can accommodate as many widgets as you can add! In order to add such a widget to the bottom section of your blogs and also customize the look and feel of it then lets start learning today’s tutorial.

Add This Three Column Widget Inside Your Blogger Templates

Follow these steps,

1. Go To Blogger > Layout > Edit HTML
2. Back Up your template
3. Search for

Customization

You can easily customize the look and colours of the this footer widget. I have bolded the important parts in the CSS code above. Read the descriptions below carefully to better stylize your three column widget. For changing colours use our advanced Colour Code Generator

• background:#333434; Changing the six digit colour code will change the background colour of this widget.
• width: 960px; This is the width of the widget. If you want you can adjust this width value in accordance with the width of your blog.
• background:#fff; and width: 32%; is the background colour and width of the three columns where the widgets are added.
• color:#0084ce; This is the Colour of Title Headings
• font: bold 14px Arial, Tahoma, Verdana; Edit this to change the font size and family.
• border-bottom:3px solid #0084ce; Edit this to change the thickness, style and colour of the border that appears at the bottom of Title Heading
• border-bottom: 1px dotted #ccc; Editing this will change the size, style and colour of the border that appears below links.

If you’re managing more than, lets say, 60 odd applications and shortcuts, you can quickly reach the tab where required application is residing by using numpad keys.

Mail Mining also brings ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode for Outlook to stop receiving emails or notifications for defined amount of time. This helps user focus on their other important tasks without going offline. The Smart Alert feature lets you define a list of email types, or choose sender email addresses and contacts in order to receive only the most important email alerts. Moreover, instead of using Outlook native Template feature, you can try MailMining Templates to quickly create, edit and send messages having more or less same context to different recipients.

Real Time Spell Check In Internet Explorer 9

Are you hanging on to Internet Explorer 9 and badly need an efficient spell checker to identify and correct spelling mistakes? Today, we have an awesome spell check extension for Internet Explorer, called Speckie. It highlights mistakes in real time and suggests you a list of corrections. The extension allows customizing numerous spell check related settings whilst supporting multiple dictionaries. You can alternatively replace the squiggly line that underlines the incorrect words with not only customized highlighting colors but fonts as well. Apart from this, you can switch between 4 default mistake tag styles, ranging from highlight, single, thick-dash, and wave.

The noteworthy part is that Speckie supports adding dictionaries. If you want to, lets say, include German dictionary, just head over to Speckie product page and download it. Once downloaded, you can either replace the default English dictionary or add it in the list.

You can check out the suggested corrections for spelling mistakes from right-click context menu (see screenshot below).

Speckie settings can be accessed from either right-click menu or Settings –> Manage add-ons. By default, it doesn’t check spelling mistakes in single line text fields, however, if you want to check mistakes in, for instance, websites search field, enable it from Spell Check section.  The Tag Properties contains all the supported word highlighting styles with option to customize each style.

Underneath Tag Properties, you can add more dictionaries and replace existing one. Check out a list of available dictionaries here. Speckie is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit IE editions.
