Crack Account Password on Any Operating System

Computer passwords are like locks on doors – they keep honest people honest. If someone wishes to gain access to your laptop or computer, a simple login password will not stop them. Most computer users do not realize how simple it is to access the login password for a computer, and end up leaving vulnerable data on their computer, unencrypted and easy to access.
Are you curious how easy it is for someone to gain access to your computer? If so, read on to see the technique one might use to figure out your computer password.
NOTE : Its a requested tutorial ,requested by Sam Wilson, If you want to request any tutorial then use our Request Form.

Crack Windows Password

Windows is still the most popular operating system, and the method used to discover the login password is the easiest.
  • The program used is called Ophcrack, and it is free. Ophcrack is based on Slackware, and uses rainbow tables to solve passwords up to 14 characters in length. The time required to solve a password? Generally 10 seconds. The expertise needed? None.
  • ophcrackSimply download the Ophcrack ISO and burn it to a CD (or load it onto a USB drive via UNetbootin).
  • Insert the CD into a machine you would like to gain access to, then press and hold the power button until the computer shuts down.
  • Turn the computer back on and enter BIOS at startup. Change the boot sequence to CD before HDD, then save and exit.
  • The computer will restart and Ophcrack will be loaded. Sit back and watch as it does all the work for your. Write down the password it gives you, remove the disc, restart the computer, and log in as if it were you own machine.

Crack Mac Password

The second most popular operating system, OS X is no safer when it comes to password cracking then Windows. The easiest method would be to use Ophcrack on this, also, as it works with Mac and Linux in addition to Windows. However, there are other methods that can be used, as demonstrated below.
  • If the Mac runs OS X 10.4, then you only need the installation CD.
  • Insert it into the computer, reboot.
  • When it starts up, select UTILITIES > RESET PASSWORD. Choose a new password and then use that to log in.
  • If the Mac runs OS X 10.5, restart the computer and press COMMAND + S.
  • When at the prompt, type:
fsck -fy
mount -uw /
launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.DirectoryServices.plist
dscl . -passwd /Users/UserName newpassword
  • That’s it. Now that the password is reset, you can login.

Crack Linux Password

Finally, there is Linux, an operating system quickly gaining popularity in mainstream, but not so common you’re likely to come across it. Though Mac and Linux are both based on Unix, it is easier to change the password in Linux than it is OS X.
  • To change the password, turn on the computer and press the ESC key when GRUB appears.
  • Scroll down and highlight ‘Recovery Mode’ and press the ‘B’ key; this will cause you to enter ‘Single User Mode’.
  • You’re now at the prompt, and logged in as ‘root’ by default.
  • Type ‘passwd’ and then choose a new password. This will change the root password to whatever you enter.
  • If you’re interested in only gaining access to a single account on the system, however, then type ‘passwd username’ replacing ‘username’ with the login name for the account you would like to alter the password for.
Conclusion: There you have it – that is how simple it is for someone to hack your password. It requires no technical skills, no laborious tasks, only simple words or programs. The moral of the story? Encrypt your data to keep it safe. Don’t use only a password, but actually encryption, such as Blowfish or AES-128. There are a number of programs that can do this – TrueCrypt for Windows, or the native encryption found on Ubuntu, creating a disk image in Mac, etc.

AllMyApps Is Feature Rich App Store For Windows

A while back, we talked about Windows OS being devoid of an App Store and advocated Npackd as one good choice for installing and managing Windows applications. Going over Npackd features, we couldn’t help but say that it lacks a lot of features in terms of organizing and searching applications by different categories, such as, Internet, Security, Video, Converter and so on. AllMyApps is a freshly baked utility which is, however, in beta phase yet seems promising in addressing the user needs when it comes to choosing a feature-rich App Store for Windows. Fortunately, it covers almost all the essential options which you might look for in an App Store. Be it application types, categories, runtime environments, download manager, or complete product description with ratings that you want to check before downloading, it brings all these necessary features of an OS App Store in a drop-dead UI.
Since it’s going through testing phase, you might not be able to find plentiful of application software, desktop utilities but most celebrated applications, add-ons, browsers, IDEs, etc., are provided in respective categories, such as, Adobe Flash, Firefox, Google Chrome, VLC,  Notepad++, Skype, Live Messenger, Spybot, Paint.NET, and many more.

The very first step is to register an account with AllMyApps, so you can manage your applications from multiple systems. Once registered, download the desktop utility and sign-in with your account.
Allmyapps
After the connection is established, it will start populating applications into multiple categories. You can navigate through categories, add, and manage chosen apps in My List from left sidebar. A search bar at the top will help filtering out applications by supplied keywords in realtime.

Allmyapps 2
After you’ve selected an application, it will show you EULA and other details with an option to install the application.

install 2
Just click Install to start downloading the application. After the application is downloaded, it will start installing the application in silent mode. You can keep AllMyApps at your fingertips by minimizing it to system tray, from where you can bring it up anytime and sign off. It doesn’t matter where you are, in home, off for vocations, or in office, My List containing applications can be remotely managed through its web application.

Allmyapps 4
Below you can watch a brief demonstration video.

As per our testing results, we didn’t find any sort of problems and errors. Developers are open to suggestions and eagerly need user feedbacks & requests to ensure availability of their favorite applications. It works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.

New Features Of Windows Home Server 2011

home_server_web_hero
In this post we will take a look at the new features that Windows Home Server 2011 (code name Vail) has to offer and what can be the benefit of these features for the common user.

Silverlight Based Remote Access

  • Easy Accessibility
The Remote Access feature is now Silverlight based and allows remote streaming of media content via the internet. This way users can access their media files from anywhere through the cloud. For home users the advantage lies in the fact that they can view their personal videos, pictures, etc without the need of downloading them.
  • Remote Streaming
Windows Home Server 2011 has been enhanced to provide Remote Streaming (via Remote Access). Below you will find the supported formats and extensions that you can stream your content with.
  • Supported Formats:
MPEG-4, 3GP, H.264, ADTS, AVI, MPEG-2, AAC, MP3, LPCM, and MPEG-1. MPEG2 and AC3 support is planned to be provided in the final release version, however, it is not currently available for the beta version.
  • Supported Extensions:
MP4, .M4A, .MOV, .3GP, .3G2, .AAC, .AVI, .M2T, .M2TS, and .MTS

Remote Access

Enhanced Media Connectivity Options

  • DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance)
Windows Home Server 2011 provides more enhanced media connectivity options as compared to its predecessor. Keeping in view that many consumers in the US market have DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compatible devices, Microsoft has been clever enough to provide DLNA streaming functionality. DLNA Certified devices allow products to upload, play and render content. Some of the widely used DLNA devices include: gaming consoles, Wi-Fi enabled digital cameras, wireless speakers, etc. Windows Home Server users with the help of their TVs, stereos,  Xbox 360 (in Windows Media Center Mode) and other devices can automatically find the home server (via the home network ) and stream videos, music and photos from it.
  • Home Group Support
Home Group simplifies the sharing process on a home based network. This is quite handy for family households with multiple computers to print, share and access their files conveniently. With the addition to Windows Home Server 2011 to a Home Group, users can have a centralized storing mechanism for their content.
  • Streaming And Transcoding (Connectivity) Support
Windows Home Server has a wide range of codec support, providing users to stream a broader range of media content than its predecessor. The home server transcodes any video or audio file(s) to other formats and resolutions when the content is not playable. The supported codes include the following: 3GP, AAC, AVCHD, MPEG-4, WMV, and WMA. Most AVI, DivX, MOV, and Xvid files are also supported. As mentioned earlier, MPEG2 and AC3 is planned to be provided in the release version.

Stream

Computer Backup

  • Backing Up The Client System Backup
A new feature of Windows Home Server is that users can create a backup of the client PC’s backup database. This means that the backup of a system can be further saved to the home server. Furthermore, when the connector software is removed from an old PC, users are given the option to backup data from that system to the home server. This Computer Backup Archiving feature can be used to saved content to a centralized home server for a decommissioned system. It is also worth mentioning here that such computer(s) are not included in the 10 computer backup limit.

Backup

More Storage Options

  • Drive Extender Enhancements
Windows Home Server Drive Extender is a storage technology that can be used to add additional storage (via internal and external drives of different sizes) to the home server. It allows you to remove the system drive from the storage pool to speed up the operating system, automatically detecting and correcting hard drive data errors. It can be used to remove a drive without facing server down time, it offers drive health monitoring and alerting and it provides duplicate folder data available for missing drives without the need to remove the missing drive first. There can be about 10 drives in the storage pool with up to 60GB hard drive support capability.

Drive enhancement

Dashboard and Launchpad

  • More Control
The Dashboard has replaced the Windows Home Server Console and is the new central control unit of the operating system. From the dashboard users can perform all the tasks required to manage and maintain the server. This includes, accessing content, creating users, network management, backup,as well as managing / performing  streaming and remote access options. In fact the Dashboard can itself be accessed remotely by users with the appropriate permissions.
  • Shared Folders And Status Updates
Every folder now displays its own synchronization status and alerts, as well as reflects its status update.
  • Add-ins
The previous version of Windows Home Server became famous for its Add-ins feature.  In the new version, several improvements have been made to the SDK to provide developers the opportunity to build even better applications for Vail. Some of the new capabilities include the following:
  • Win forms based OR WPF ( Windows Presentation Foundation) based control tabs.
  • Ability to add more data to the existing tabs, such as task, columns, details, etc.
  • Common tasks and community links can be added via the home page.
  • Home page is extensible: Add common tasks and community links
  • Categories and tasks can be added to the Launchpad
  • Users can add their own link in an online service section, create new items in the menu bar and create new gadgets for the home page.
  • The SDK can help users build their own set of providers via the new framework known as “Provider Framework”
  • Templates and Samples can be included to help add-in developers.

ProcessRenicer Manages Application Process Priority In Mac

renice 3
ProcessRenicer for Mac lets user change the nice value of the an active application. The nice value refers to the value which system kernel uses to compute the application threads priority. With ProcessRenicer, you can manage the CPU resources in a better way by preventing hefty processes of applications from hogging system resources. You can for instance restrict resources which are being utilized by Dock at normal level, so that it can’t consume more physical memory and CPU time.

Its workability is based on a simple principle, assigning lower nice value will give higher priority to the application and conversely is the case with high nice value. Compared with Mac’s native Activity Monitor, its interface shows some extra information regarding active threads, such as, UID, PPID, Priority, Swap Address, Thread starting time, Memory usage percentage, etc.
All that is required is to launch the application, select the process with higher usage, and click Renice Process. Now move the slider to set the nice value (priority) you want to assign to the application followed by a click on Renice. Make sure that you’re not allocating very low priority to system processes, as doing so may cause a serious system havoc.
We tested it on Mac 10.6

part of the QuickTime software), realsched (which is part of the
