The best strategy is to create a long title consisting of at most 120 characters in order to make sure that the title looks good for both Google and Yahoo. The optimal title should be thought of as consisting of a primary title (for Google) and a secondary title (for Yahoo!). The primary title should consist of no more than 66 characters and your secondary title can be any length up to the point where the full title reaches 120 characters in length.
